Welcome to my author page. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Rev. John C. Schneidervin.
I want to tell you a few things about myself, so you may get to know me a little better. First of all, to avoid confusion when you look online at my book descriptions, I refer to myself in my literary works as "Rev. JC". You may wonder, "Why?" Well, look at my last name. That will explain why. Most people cannot pronounce it. Its an eye-full and a mouth-full, to say the least. So, to make prospective readers', like yours', life and book shopping a little more enjoyable, I shortened my handle to "Rev. JC". Everyone can surely handle that "handle". |
The New Testament
Vivid English Translation This Vivid English Translation (VET) of the New Testament is a faithful, accurate rendering of the original Greek text that is simple, clear, easy to understand, and pleasant to read and listen to. As no other translation does, the VET brings out the vividness of the original Greek text, so its English readers and Bible students are able to see for themselves and appreciate the vividness of the various original Greek writers and their intended meanings. Special attention was paid to translating all the different kinds of Greek verb tenses according to their respective uses to render their vividness in the VET’s text. Unlike the VET, popular English translations smooth out the verb tenses into a dead level translation that too often misses the vividness that the Greek verb tenses add to the text, thereby obscuring the original writer’s meaning. As often as possible the VET also translated the emphasis of the original Greek wording. The Greek writers commonly chose their word order according to the stress in their mind at the time. The VET chose to bring out that emphasis. The VET has essentially a literal word-for-word correspondence with the original Greek text to bring the reader and Bible student as close as possible to that original Greek text. When a word-for-word translation of a verse would have resulted in a rendering that would have been difficult for the reader to understand, the verse was translated instead sense-for-sense in a readily understandable idiomatic English. Even children can read the VET with great profit and blessing. |
Be Reassured, Christian! You Are Walking Heavenward With God Book #2 in the Series Fight The Good Fight Of Faith There are many kinds of Christians. Whichever kind you may be, you can never hear enough of the good news that God has for you in Christ or be reassured too often of your final destination and eternal dwelling place. With this book its author Rev. JC aims to do just that for you by means of the inspired words and message of God as written through his apostle John. You will find this book on the First Letter Of John to be a down-to-earth, personal, yes – even soul-searching, practical discussion for a Christian layman or woman like yourself. From cover to cover it unfolds what the spiritual truths of God that John set forth mean to you in your Christian faith and everyday life. From within John’s setting of the first century Christian Church this book will advise you of what to look for today in your own faith and life that substantiates, reassures and comforts you that you are truly a Christian who is walking heavenward in fellowship and the light of life with God. In the process of doing this it will alert you to many of the spiritual dangers confronting you today. A War's On, Christian! Are You A Combatant Or A Casualty? Book #1 in the Series Fight The Good Fight Of Faith This book is a call to Christians to wake up and watch out! A war’s going on and they are in it! It’s life or death for them. Out of loving concern for the Christians in the visible Church on earth I have written this book to alert the Christians of today to the danger they are in that surrounds them. My earnest desire, like that of God himself, is that they all would be saved and not one would be lost. To that end I have:

Description of Jesus' Last Week And Words I can tell you that this is not a fictional story. This is a historical fact. The appropriate verses of the Four Gospels have been fit together into a seamless biographical narrative of Jesus Christ’s last earthly week and words as originally told by the sacred writers. You, the reader, will be able to follow the sequence of what Jesus did, endured, and taught in those closing days of his Passion to redeem you. You will be able to walk with Jesus through what is now called Holy Week and observe on each successive day:

Description of Volume I of The Apostle Paul
This is the first of a three-volume biographical commentary that will capture and hold your interest as it relates the times and events of Paul’s life. You will observe Paul’s bitter hatred, strong-willed pride and cruelty that was followed by a shock that shook him down to the foundation of his soul, leaving him humbled, bewildered, disillusioned, laden with guilt and remorse that marked the turning point of his life. Ever after that Paul the church-destroyer became Paul the church builder. You will sense the drama and suspense that Paul experienced through his journeys, dangers, fears, brushes with death, flights, and his intense concerns for the churches he founded and the Christians within them that took him through the depths of depression to the heights of joy and songs of praise to God. This book is a solid, practical, encouraging and edifying commentary about the life and letters of Paul. I dug into the text. I expounded what the New Testament teaches. I also gave extensive historical background about the cities Paul visited, which opens up the events described in the Book of Acts. My commentary reveals that Paul used every situation as a platform to exalt Christ – whether a stoning in Lystra, a beating in Philippi, a riot at the temple in Jerusalem, a shipwreck on Malta, or years of imprisonment in Caesarea and Rome. In this first volume you will:

It also presents extensive historical information about the cities Paul visited, which colors the events described in the Book of Acts and the content of those six letters. In this second volume you will:

Description of Volume III of The Apostle Paul
This is the third of a three-volume biographical commentary on the life and letters of Paul. Its highly informative pages cover the trials, travels, and travails of Paul throughout the last eleven years of his life. I have again dug into the scriptural texts and into various historical documents to enlighten you with the absorbing, and at times tense, even intriguing, events and experiences that confronted and challenged Paul up to his martyrdom. In this third volume you will:

Description of Deepening Love - For Marital Happiness
You may already be married, or you may be planning to be married soon. In either case, you are probably looking for scriptural information on marriage, or you would not be looking at this book. After having been out of print, this book has now been republished. It was first published in 1992 by Northwestern Publishing House. It was very well received and printed three times. It was used by many congregations with their members for marital and premarital counseling and was given as a gift to couples being married. It had been regarded by some as their Bible on the subject of marriage. It was also used at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary as a reference book for the seminary students to read to learn about marriage in preparation for marital and premarital counseling during their ministries. I spent a great deal of time during the years of my ministry in premarital and marital counseling. I wrote and then conducted for several years free marriage enrichment seminars as a service to couples. I also wrote materials for conducting premarital and marital counseling sessions with couples. I was asked to present to my fellow pastors papers on how to conduct biblically sound premarital and marital counseling. On the basis of my knowledge of biblical teachings and years of experience in premarital and marital counseling I wrote the contents of this book, Deepening Love, For Marital Happiness. The purpose of this book is threefold: · To share with you biblically sound information on the marriage relationship as well as information that will enable you to identify what kind of a marital relationship you have. · To provide you with information and guidance for preventing or working through the many kinds of marital problems. · To unfold for you the many insights into marital love as well as give you numerous suggestions on how to promote, preserve and restore love in a marriage, in order that you may have a mutually pleasing, happy and harmonious marital relationship. So, if you are married and desire to enrich your marriage, or you are married and having problems that you wish you could resolve, or you are engaged, planning your wedding and looking for information that will put your marriage on the right track – this book can surely help you. |
